You Don’t Have An Email List?

If you wish to gain more customers and have them buy more often the best thing you can do is to create your own customer email marketing list. At the minimum this mailing list should include customer name and email address. If at all possible you should try to get:

Customer Name
Address
City
State
Zip Code
Email Address
Telephone number

There are many advantages to having an email marketing list. Some of the advantages include:

  • By having your own mailing list you will always have a way to keep in contact with your customers. This allows you to inform them of new products, services, offers, and it builds relations. It is still necessary to market to new audiences so that you can experience maximum sales opportunities but having your own established list of people who are interested in your products and services is an amazing advantage over your competitors.
  • Your visitors will have to opt-in to your list in order to keep with current spam laws. The good thing about this is that you can rest assured the people who opt-in to your email marketing list are genuinely interested in what you have to offer. From there it is simply a matter of determining which product or service you have that they will buy.
  • Once your visitors make an initial purchase new products or services can be offered again after a period of time. The likelihood of them purchasing again is high because they now have a certain degree of trust because of the last transaction. This is very important when using online marketing methods for sales. The internet has offered anonymity to many people and many people have been taken advantage of because of this. The simple fact that you were able to deliver will go a long way in assuring your previous customer that you can be trusted. We all know that trust is an asset that you can put a price tag on.
  • The visitors who do not make purchases initially can still be asked to subscribe to your email marketing list. By doing so you have a qualified prospect. You always have a chance of creating a sale if they are on your list. Since they visited your site because of whatever material you have that they are interested in it is safe to assume that they are interested in that subject. Possible reasons they did not buy initially could simply be that they did not need what was offered. However, this does not mean they won’t be interested in the future.
  • Your email marketing list can be used as a way to share your thoughts concerning your industry or survey the thoughts of your subscribers. Many times, email lists are used to send newsletters or used as news feed generators. Part of the process of your list is to build your brand and establish yourself as a credible and honest individual or business.
  • Email marketing lists can also be use as a backend sales engine or for cross-selling campaigns. By using these two strategies you will maximize profits and ensure sustainable earnings even in uncertain times like we are currently experiencing.
  • Subscribers to your list can be a valuable asset by providing you feedback and helping you to determine which aspects of your business need improvement.
  • Email lists are a great tool for customer service. You can automate your program to send out emails in response to inquiries, problem-specific issues, FAQ’s, or any other information that you can expect from your customers.
